We have one litter due the end of August.
See our puppies page for more details

We are an Irish Jack Russell Terrier Breeder and have one or two litters a year!  To reserve a spot on a litter please complete the reservation request and I will call you.  Once we've spoken and you are certain you'd like a puppy I will email you the deposit agreement to send back with your $300 deposit.  After you reserve a spot on the litter you will be able to make payments with the amount due in full when the puppies are 7 weeks of age.  At that time I will go down the list and call everyone to pick your puppy as well as make final payment arrangements.

If your puppy is being shipped to you we will discuss the flight options a bit before this and require those expenses to be paid 10-14 days in advance.

Please remember that I cannot reserve a spot on a litter without your deposit and a commitment from you that this is what you really want.  Please don't hesitate to call or email us with any questions you may have about us or our dogs.

~ How our puppies are raised ~

In the home:

Our Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies are raised in our home in what once was our breakfast nook.  They spend 8 weeks here with us exploring the house and the back yard getting exposed to the sites and sounds of everyday life.  Being part of the kitchen, it is one of the busiest rooms in the house making it easier to keep the puppies in a clean safe environment.

We will keep mom with her puppies for as long as she'll have them and when mom is tired of the pups probably around 6 weeks of age, we will work on weaning them from her and give her a much needed break.

When the puppies are old enough and weather permitting, they will be given the opportunity to explore the outdoors.  With our puppy xpens, mom and pups will have the opportunity to get out in the warmer weather to enjoy the sunshine and experience grass, bugs and dirt under the toes.  This will help them get used to going to the bathroom outside but they will also be introduced to the Wizdog system inside.  As they get older they'll start making trips outside for potty breaks during the day.

Sound Desensitization:

We have several sound CD's which we will play for our Irish Jack Russell Terrier puppies to help desensitize them to sounds they may not hear that often such as thunder and fire trucks for example.  Hopefully all of our efforts will create puppies that have had exposure to many different sites/sounds and are better able to cope with an ever changing environment.  We want to help make the transition from our home to yours as smooth as possible for puppy and you.

Enriched Environment:

We strive to provide all our dogs and puppies with an enriched environment with the use of toys, sights and sounds.  Patricia McConnell has a wonderful CD available which goes into this in great detail called "For the Love of a Dog".  Basically you not only want to find a reputable breeder but one that offers an environment full of different experiences for their puppies.  We do this through the use of toys and sounds as well as indoor and outdoor play time.  You don't want a puppy to spend 8 weeks in the same room day after day.   Research suggests that puppies who are given the opportunity to experience different sights, sounds, textures and scents develop into much more well rounded stable adults.  Check out some of Patricia's books on our training page.
